Cleveland Track Material says it will deliver five guarded, tangential geometry , double crossovers with 39-41-foot track centers on low vibration concrete tie blocks for New York's Second Avenue Subway and No. 7 Line subway extension projects, both in Manhattan.

The first of the crossovers, for the 7 Line Extension, was inspected and shipped well in advance of the required date. Work on crossovers for the Second Avenue Subway will begin next year, the company said.

Cleveland Track Material, a subsidiary of Vossloh North America, also is in the process of retrofitting an existing double crossover for the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority that is currently on concrete ties onto low vibration concrete tie blocks.

Reading, Pa.-based Vossloh North America in turn is a subsidiary of Werdohl, Germany-based Vossloh AG.
