The NTSB is currently recruiting for a highly skilled and effective senior executive to serve as Deputy Director, Office of Railroad, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Investigations.  

This position is located in Washington, DC, and will serve as the full deputy and key advisor to the Director in leading the office to reduce the number of railroad, pipeline, and hazardous materials accidents.  The Deputy Director participates fully in managing all functions of the office to direct and ensure quality assurance for investigations, reports, and oversight activities. Implements a safety recommendation advocacy program. Assists the Director in managing functions to ensure high quality technical investigations and products. Provides leadership for the development of comprehensive accident reports and effective recommendation that address key safety issues to improve transportation safety.
