Florida East Coast Railway President and CEO James R. Hertwig is the luncheon speaker Tuesday, April 2, for The New Intermodal Age Conference and Expo, to be held April 2-3, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore on the Inner Harbor, Baltimore, Md.

The two-day conference will include speakers from the maritime shipping lines, port operators, railroads, and state and federal government, among others. The conference is co-sponsored by Railway Age and its sister publication, Marine Log.

Among other rail industry speakers on the agenda: Conrail Shared Assets President and Chief Operating Officer Ron Batory, Tuesday’s keynote speaker, and Railway Age Contributing Editor Frank N. Wilner.

Intermodal is the fastest-growing method of ground transportation in North America. With revenue topping those of traditionally strong railroad commodities such as coal, intermodal represents a dramatic and permanent sea-change in how freight is handled and transported by rail, by ship, and by truck. If you're involved with intermodal transportation in any capacity and want to learn about the latest trends and newest technologies, The New Intermodal Age conference is one you should not miss.

On a first-come, first-served option, those registering for the conference can also sign up to tour the Port of Baltimore Wednesday afternoon, April 3. Tour spots remain open, but the two-hour tour is limited to just 15 participants, so early input is recommended.

For more information or to register for the conference, contact Michelle Zolkos, Tel.: 212-620-7200, ext. 7208; Email: mzolkos@sbpub.com. Or go to the online registration site.
