BNSF recognizes employees for outstanding achievement BNSF
BNSF Railway Company (BNSF) recognized a group of its employees, April 13, 2015, for their outstanding achievements in 2014 at its annual Employees of the Year event, which took place in Forth Worth, Texas.

Out of BNSF’s approximate 48,000 employees across the company, some 100 employees received this recognition. And out of that 100, five employees earned Safety Employee of the Year titles.

They are: Montserrat Beamon, Chicago Intermodal Equipment Operator, who earned the Intermodal Safety Employee of the Year title; Gary Sage, Bakersfield, Calif., Track Supervisor, who earned the Engineering Safety Employee of the Year title; Tessa Collins, Dilworth, Minn., Safety Coordinator, who earned the Transportation Safety Employee of the Year; Mike Warrington, Lincoln, Neb., Communications and Signal Foreman, who earned the Telecommunications Safety Employee of the Year title; and Clintel Bates, Kansas City, Mo., Equipment Operator and Laborer Foreman, who earned the Mechanical Safety Employee of the Year title.

This year’s award recipients’ actions span a wide range of achievements and reflect valuable contributions to some of BNSF’s most important initiatives, including the reduction of rail congestion in heavily populated area, the successful training of more than 800 employees in advanced track inspection that improves safety, and the opening of the Big Lift Automotive Facility.

“Our Employees of the Year recognition is a way to thank our people for truly exceptional efforts and results,” said Carl Ice, BNSF President and Chief Executive Officer. “From rendering aid in an emergency to implementing business processes that will forever make our railroad better, this distinctive group of employees deserves this special recognition and BNSF’s gratitude.”
