EAM will be used to improve Metro's operations performance through increased equipment/asset availability, decreased maintenance and repair (M&R) costs, and increased bus and rail utilization, Trapeze Group said.
EAM technology includes management software for right-of-way and stationary assets. It manages the right-of-way, including inspections, defect recording and repair of rail track, signals, switches, catenary, and electric traction, and is capable of tracking an unlimited number of equipment units as well as supporting an unlimited number of workstations from a number of locations, the company said.
