Port Rupert completes container expansion

The Port of Prince Rupert in British Columbia, Canada, celebrated the completion of the two-year "Phase 2 North" expansion of DP World's Fairview Container Terminal with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and Metrolinx have issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for interested parties to build and finance the Lakeshore East-Central Corridor Expansion project.

Turnaround exec to lead MBTA as GM/CEO

Caltrain electrification under way

Following years of planning and recent federal funding uncertainty, Caltrain broke ground on the Peninsula Corridor Electrification Project July 21.

The U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations Committee released the Fiscal Year 2018 Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) funding bill July 10. The bill, expected to undergo subcommittee markup July 11, reduces total discretionary spending and eliminates certain grant programs, but exceeds amounts requested by President Trump.
