REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR
GUIDEWAY INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES
The Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) requests proposals and qualifications for Guideway Inspection and Maintenance Services. The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a fully automated transit system serving the downtown Detroit core. The system consists of a 2.9-mile single-lane elevated concrete guide way loop, twelve (12) rail cars, thirteen (13) passenger stations, and the Maintenance and Control Facility (MCF). The Guideway consists of a series of pre-cast concrete box beams on which the rails are mounted. These beams span between reinforced concrete columns of various heights, and are combined by cast-in-place concrete segments to make multi-span configurations.
Proposals and qualifications are to be submitted in accordance with the DTC Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 07-2013. Proposals and qualifications must be received by the DTC Purchasing Department, 1420 Washington Blvd., 3rd Floor, Detroit, MI 48226 on or before 5:00 p.m. (EST) July 29, 2013. Proposals/Qualifications received after 5:00 p.m. (EST) July 29, 2013 will be returned to the sender unopened. Proposals/Qualifications, once submitted, may not be withdrawn for 120 days after the due date. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC OPENING OF THE PROPOSALS.
The DTC reserves the right to postpone, accept or reject any or all proposals, in whole or in part, at its discretion, subject to the rules and regulations set forth by the DTC, the State of Michigan and the United States Department of Transportation. Firms or individuals whose names appear on the U.S. Comptroller General’s list of ineligible contractors will not be considered.
The DTC affirmatively assures that no proposer will be discriminated against on the basis of race, color, sex, age, disability, religion, ancestry, marital status, national origin, place of birth or sexual orientation. The successful proposer will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
