Electric fueling system
Snyder Equipment Company's Snyder IV Diesel Locomotive Electric Fueling System offers an array of features to improve the fueling process: from a positive shut-off with an electronic RF signal that does not require a second connection, to an 1820-DSE Electronic Fuel Nozzle with dual-functioning automatic shut-off capabilities that can be used with all existing Snyder II system-equipped locomotives. According to the manufacturer, the Snyder IV system increases flow rate and eliminates trigger blockage. Additionally, Snyder's 1825-DSE Locomotive Fuel Kit prevents fuel overflow on curves or uneven service tracks, prevents fuel from being forced out when the atmospheric tank vent is plugged, eliminates fuel leaks while fueling, and provides a dry-break when disconnecting the nozzle.
Cast steel rail puller
The Nolan Company's rugged cast steel rail puller increases ribbon rail handling efficiency, and at 46 pounds, it may be used on 100- to 140-pound rail. The puller's locking wedge holds rail in position for welding.
Intelligent transportation
MOBILE from Innovations in Transportation, Inc., integrates all facets of an intelligent transportation system into a suite of hardware and software products. Among the products offered are GPS (Global Positioning System) and DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) Vehicle Location; STOPinfo, a real-time passenger information system; EvenPortable, a modular electronic ticket vending machine; MOBILE-CAD/AVL, a computer-aided dispatch/automatic vehicle location system; and IRMA, an automated passenger counter.
