The primary challenge of this position will be to seek out new applications of our various technologies. This position will interface with a variety of people from senior management, engineers, technical service staff and shop floor personnel.

SENIOR BUSINESS PROCESS ANALYST
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is a bi-state public agency operating some of the busiest and most important transportation links in the New York/New Jersey region. We are currently seeking a Senior Business Process Analyst to serve in the Business Process Analysis Division (BPA) of the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH).
Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager - BPA, the selected incumbent will conduct responsible and complex analysis to support the review, development and implementation of critical business processes that ensure the alignment of BPA objectives into key department projects. Specific examples include: serving as a master plan Senior Analyst to implement changes in facility workflow, maintenance requirements, operational procedures, staffing levels and training needs as a result of replacing the existing fleet with newly designed rail cars; creating simulation models to evaluate manpower, train schedule and capital investment alternates for potential service planning scenarios under consideration; developing queuing models to ensure optimal customer flow as new station enhancements are implemented; generating sophisticated business analyses to justify agency investment in state-of-the-art fare collection technologies; conducting efficiency studies to support the new signal system program; and refining department performance measurements with meaningful metrics to drive division and unit-level action planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a preferred major in Industrial Engineering, Management Science, Operations Research or an MBA with a concentration in Quantitative Methods. Demonstrated experience in quickly learning, understanding and implementing complex processes or procedures through business process analysis, modeling, re-engineering, and process mapping techniques. Demonstrated experience in project management methodologies including the creation of work breakdown structures (WBS) and utilization of project management software tools such as Micro Soft Project. Demonstrated strong leadership and team management skills including the ability to assemble, lead and manage project teams, and effectively collaborate with superiors, peers and co-workers. Demonstrated research, analytical, decision-making and problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize a heavy workload under pressure in an organized manner while consistently meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated experience making presentations to diverse audiences. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint. PRINCIPAL SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL COORDINATOR

We are currently seeking a Principal Safety and Environmental Coordinator to serve in the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH).
Responsibilities:
Under general supervision of the Manager, System Safety & Environmental Management Division (SSEM), the successful incumbent will assist in developing and implementing rail rapid transit system safety programs that provide for employee and customer safety, and for emergency management at all PATH facilities. Specific responsibilities include: providing oversight for workplace safety initiatives, including quality assurance, safety certification, hazard management, Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) compliance protocols, and training; updating and implementing PATH’s System Safety Program Plan; developing and conducting emergency response exercises and drills; conducting familiarization and training for emergency responders; carrying out accident investigations; and assisting in developing and implementing department sustainability and energy reduction strategies.Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering or Industrial Hygiene. Demonstrated experience developing safety assurance, change management and safety certification programs. Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) and FRA regulations; National - Fire Protection Administration (NFPA) guidelines; and American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards. The ability to review and comment on construction plans and specifications involving rail equipment, facilities and emerging technologies. Demonstrated excellent oral and written skills. Demonstrated strategic thinking, communication, interpersonal, and motivation skills, and experience successfully working with diverse internal and external employee groups and organizations. Skilled in project management, decision-making, problem analysis and resolution. Demonstrated experience conducting familiarization and training for emergency responders, preferably at a rail transportation property. Demonstrated experience conducting vehicle/equipment accident and personal injury investigations, preferably at a rail transportation property. Physical ability to work in a railroad environment. Desirable:
